  6. What is it?
  7. ReadOnlyConverter is for converting SimpleText Read-Only text files to editable text files and vice versa. This is useful if you want to create a Read-Only ReadMe file or if you want to copy, edit or save certain sections of a Read-Only file.

  9. What does it cost?
  10. As much as freeware usually does. Nothing.

  12. What do I need to run ROC 1.0?
  13. • A 68K or PPC Mac.
  14. • System 7 or later.
  15. • AppleScript.

  17. How do I use it?
  18. • Start it up.
  19. • Use the Open dialog which appears to open the file you want to convert.
  20. • If you opened a Plain Text file, it will be saved as a SimpleText Read-Only file and vice versa. After saving your file, the program will automatically quit.

  24. If ROC does something you don't like, don't blame us. MacZ Software is not responsible for any damage caused (directly or indirectly) by this program (though it's not very likely that a file converter could damage your files or HD etc :)
